Nancy Goodman is a resident of Mooresville.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Emory University in 1988.  She received her JD from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1994, where she graduated in the top quarter of her class and was an editor for the American Bar Association Real Property, Probate & Trust Journal.  After graduating from law school, Ms. Goodman represented the South Carolina Senate as a Staff Attorney for the Senate Judiciary Committee, Joint Legislative Committee for Judicial Screening, and Hunley Commission. During her tenure for the Senate, she drafted legislation, conducted public hearings, represented the Senate before the South Carolina Supreme Court, and negotiated with the United States Navy over the ownership of the C.S.S. Hunley, the first submarine to sink a ship.

Her practice is now exclusively focused on the areas of Estate Planning, Estate Administration and Elder Law.  She leads the estates team in the administration of estates and in the preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.  Ms. Goodman is experienced in all aspects of estate planning, from relatively simple estate plans to the preparation of documents for high net worth individuals.

Services:

Estate Planning - You have worked hard to provide for your family. Protect your assets and leave your loved ones a legacy by preparing the necessary estate planning documents. We can also help you handle potential estate tax issues and make sure that the I.R.S. is not your primary beneficiary.

Estate Administration - Losing a loved one is difficult under any circumstance.  We can guide you through the process of estate administration, including the protection of assets, preparation of required documents, and distribution to beneficiaries.

Elder Law - You can prepare for the aging process by putting your affairs in order.  Long term care is a potential concern for us all. We can help you prepare for that and other possibilities so that you can age with dignity and peace of mind.

Community Service:
